Prep Basics: Trimming Paw Pads, Clipping and Grinding Nails

Clipping the paw pads as well as trimming and grinding the nails is important to the overall health of the dog. When pads are not clipped, matts can form in the hair and dirt and debris can collect inbetween the pads.  Nails that are too long can grow into the pads causing pain and infection. Overgrown nails can also lead to a change in the gait of the dog, causing issues with hips, shoulder and elbows. Learn with Andis Global Educator Shannon Tupes as she shows these basic techniques that will help keep the dog healthy and pain free.
